I know I'm not SUPPOSED to be shopping right now -- the whole being out of work on maternity leave situation -- but I couldn't help myself as it's been awhile and I was going through withdrawals, haha. I didn't spend a whole lot (a $25 Target giftcard I had put back for a rainy day helped out some), and I won't be doing it again until after I go back to work, which should be in about a week (yay!). Anyway! Before I get to my mini-shopping spree, I have to share this . . . it's just too cute not to. :) This is my baby boy, Dillon, with his pooh bear. The stuffed animal is just about the same size as little Dillon, but he will grow into it, sooner or later. I just thought it was cute. however, when I put it in the seat with him, he shot me one of his "looks" and tried to scoot away from pooh, like he was trying to say, "This is my seat, and I don't wanna share it, thank you very much, Mister Bear, and Mom." Oh well. Yay for photo opportunities! Anyway! Sorry for that . . . . moving on.
First thing is first . . . I went to Target with the intention of spending that $25 giftcard, and I did exactly that. My final bill was $24.75 and everything you see in the next few pictures I got from Target, except for one thing. One of my favorite purchases of the day had to be the new outfit for my doodlebug. It was on sale and just too cute! It will probably be too big on him (everything is right now!) even though it is a newborn, but he will just have to grow into it.
So yeah, there's that. And then, from there, I bought some more of the Aussie's 3-minute miracle, a deep conditioning treatment for your hair. I love this stuff, it makes my hair so soft! And I was out of it, and have been for awhile, so I thought that this would be about as good a time as any other to grab some.
Annnd finally, I bought some new makeup. I just put everything in the same picture because I thought it would be silly to do everything from Target and then have to add another picture of just one single item. From Target, I got the Rimmel eyeshadow quad in SWEET SMOULDER, the L'Oreal Extra Intense Liquid Eyeliner Pencil (since I have heard lots of good things about this eyeliner and I needed a new one anyway) in black, an E.L.F. eyeshadow quad in Drama, and the E.L.F. concealer palette -- "Complexion Perfection." Then, last but not least, I got a Hard Candy blush from Walmart in Pin-Up. I really want to try all of the products from this line, but this is one of the first products I've been able to pick up from it. I plan to get quite a few the first time I get a chance to go shopping for myself after I go back to work.
So, that's it for my little shopping "spree" of the day. Not bad. But I have decided today, when I went to put my new makeup away, that I am going to have to get a bigger train case or some other way to store my makeup here pretty soon as the stuff I got today would barely fit in my current case. Ah well, I will just have to save that for another day. Thanks for reading, lovelies!
When my son was born he was too small for newborn clothes too, try premature clothes they're smaller and he'll out grow them fast but all you need is a few :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the advice! I'll have to go take a look around. I've been looking for newborn stuff and places around here like Target and Walmart, etc don't have a whole lot to choose from in the smaller size, but maybe I will be able to find a pack of onesies or something in premature.
ReplyDeleteThanks again! :)
