L'Oreal Extra Intense Liquid Eyeliner Pencil - Thumbs up!

So my new black eyeliner that I got a couple of days ago (L'Oreal Extra Intense Liquid Eyeliner Pencil) is amazing! I tried it out last night for the first time and it works so well! It went on so easily and was very dark, just perfect. :) I had heard a lot of good things about the eyeliner from forums and other blogs, but I hadn't had a chance to try it out for myself until now. And I am so glad that I did! I am definitely going to have to go get a backup and possibly the eyeliner in brown. I just wish is came in other colors, like a violet or a teal, but I'll just have to expiriment with some other eyeliner brands in those particular colors. I'm wanting to try out maybe the liquid eyeliner pencils by Revlon, and Milani . . . both have gotten good reviews and come in more colors than the L'Oreal, so I just might have to look into them the next time that I go shopping. I'm really hoping my next shopping trip takes me to Ulta as I haven't been in awhile and would really love to go. Just a couple more days and I will be back at work. Once I get settled back into things and get that paycheck coming back in, I should be okay to allow myself some more shopping time.

Anyway, I think I have rambled enough. Just thought I would share my experience with that eyeliner while I was thinking about it as I have nothing better to do. Good evening lovies and have a beautiful night!

Random Thoughts && 5 Good Things

Random Thoughts

So let me just say before I go any further . . . I adore this picture. I found it on photobucket and I now went a black and white polka dot dress, plus I love the contrast of the red and the green . . . . Anyway! So I have given myself an assignment for tonight. After watching a good many videos and looking through a good number of blogs and posts on different forums . . . I have decided I need to get my makeup somewhat organized. And once I manage to do that, I need to take some pictures of it to catalog what I have now so that in a few months when I hopefully have a good bit more than I have now, I can compare what I started out with and what it became. I don't know if you would call what I have a "collection" as it definitely isn't much, but it's a start. You know, all of us have to start somewhere . . . unless you're going to go all out crazy and spend hundreds of dollars on makeup in a single shopping trip, but that is not what I have done . . . so we don't need to go there. But yeah, I think I am going to try to attempt that tonight and will hopefully have a "collection" post up either tomorrow or Saturday. We will see how motivated I can get myself. For now . . . 5 good things . . . .

Five Good Things

1. My beautiful baby boy is one of the best things on my life right now, so of course I feel the need to make sure that he is on this list. He's precious and growing every day and I cannot wait to see what he develops into. I'm so glad he's doing so well and that he came out healthy, despite being a little over 3 weeks earlier than his due date.

2. I'm getting back into using my camera. All during my pregnancy, I just didn't feel like getting it out and seeing what I could capture with it, but I've found myself reaching for it a good bit here in the past couple of weeks. I mean, of course a lot of the pictures I am taking at the moment are of little man, but at least it's a start.

3. Joseph Dillon had his very first bath today and it went amazingly well. His chord fell off yesterday so we broke out the baby bath tub this morning and gave little man his first bath. I took some pictures post-bath when he was all wrapped up in his too-big Pooh Bear robe, and will have to get those up. Don't worry, the pictures where he is actually IN the bath tub are coming. I have to have SOMETHING to show his first girlfriend in a few years, right? ;)

4. I finally got myself my very first Hard Candy blush yesterday (in Pin Up, so if anyone is using that one right now, let me know what you think of it, please). I've been wanting to try this line out but this is the first piece I have bought by the company. I am hoping to get more once I go back to work, and have not tried the blush yet, but will let you know what I think of it when I do try it.

5. And finally, I am going back to work next week. Yes, I know it's not something that has happened yet, but it is something I am looking forward to it. I know most people look forward to getting time off of work but I am personally looking forward to going back. Looking forward to not sitting around the house all the time, and of course, there's the paycheck I will be able to bring in again once I am back at it.

Well, that's it for now. I am hopefully going to get my makeup organized tonight and get a post up in the next couple of days. Be on the look-out for it, loves! 'Night. :)

So I went shopping today . . .

I know I'm not SUPPOSED to be shopping right now -- the whole being out of work on maternity leave situation -- but I couldn't help myself as it's been awhile and I was going through withdrawals, haha. I didn't spend a whole lot (a $25 Target giftcard I had put back for a rainy day helped out some), and I won't be doing it again until after I go back to work, which should be in about a week (yay!). Anyway! Before I get to my mini-shopping spree, I have to share this . . . it's just too cute not to. :) This is my baby boy, Dillon, with his pooh bear. The stuffed animal is just about the same size as little Dillon, but he will grow into it, sooner or later. I just thought it was cute. however, when I put it in the seat with him, he shot me one of his "looks" and tried to scoot away from pooh, like he was trying to say, "This is my seat, and I don't wanna share it, thank you very much, Mister Bear, and Mom." Oh well. Yay for photo opportunities! Anyway! Sorry for that . . . . moving on.

First thing is first . . . I went to Target with the intention of spending that $25 giftcard, and I did exactly that. My final bill was $24.75 and everything you see in the next few pictures I got from Target, except for one thing. One of my favorite purchases of the day had to be the new outfit for my doodlebug. It was on sale and just too cute! It will probably be too big on him (everything is right now!) even though it is a newborn, but he will just have to grow into it.
So yeah, there's that. And then, from there, I bought some more of the Aussie's 3-minute miracle, a deep conditioning treatment for your hair. I love this stuff, it makes my hair so soft! And I was out of it, and have been for awhile, so I thought that this would be about as good a time as any other to grab some.
Annnd finally, I bought some new makeup. I just put everything in the same picture because I thought it would be silly to do everything from Target and then have to add another picture of just one single item. From Target, I got the Rimmel eyeshadow quad in SWEET SMOULDER, the L'Oreal Extra Intense Liquid Eyeliner Pencil (since I have heard lots of good things about this eyeliner and I needed a new one anyway) in black, an E.L.F. eyeshadow quad in Drama, and the E.L.F. concealer palette -- "Complexion Perfection." Then, last but not least, I got a Hard Candy blush from Walmart in Pin-Up. I really want to try all of the products from this line, but this is one of the first products I've been able to pick up from it. I plan to get quite a few the first time I get a chance to go shopping for myself after I go back to work.
So, that's it for my little shopping "spree" of the day. Not bad. But I have decided today, when I went to put my new makeup away, that I am going to have to get a bigger train case or some other way to store my makeup here pretty soon as the stuff I got today would barely fit in my current case. Ah well, I will just have to save that for another day. Thanks for reading, lovelies!
